Every time I pick up my film camera I notice something changes with how I shoot and within my style. Not only does it help me be more creative, but somehow every single time I get the film developed the pictures are exactly how I want them to be. This newer/darker side to my work is solely through film and I love it.
This is one of the earlier film shoots I did with Lacey¬†back in November. The mood of this shoot was very dark since it was¬†raining and Lacey had that perfect look about her (thanks to the awesome hair/makeup team). As I have said in previous posts when discussing film, I usually have no idea how the images will turn out but I don’t really care because I find that super exciting.
These images were no exception. I loved how dark and eerie everything came out and surprisingly enough, there’s another film shoot I plan to post that is even darker than this one.

My work is usually so bright and colorful, so when I take on something new like this it’s so refreshing.
